Plant Swiss chard in spring, 2 to 4 weeks before the last frost date, and expect a bountiful harvest in four to six weeks.

INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 onion (finely chopped)

3 garlic cloves (crushed) 8 medium-sized potatoes (peeled, parboiled* and thinly sliced) 4 large Swiss Chard leaves (finely chopped) 250ml cream 300g grated cheese (any tasty cheese you prefer! We used Gruyère cheese) 1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

* parboiled is partly cooked by boiling. Slightly soft but still firm enough to cut into slices.

HOW TO MAKE IT 1. Start by peeling the potatoes, then give them a good boil in a pot until they're just parboiled - think tender yet firm. Set them aside to cool down before slicing later.

2. In a separate pan, put some oil on medium heat and sauté those onions until they're nice and translucent. Next, add the garlic and let them work their magic until they're soft and fragrant.

3. Now it's time to introduce the star of the show - the Swiss Chard. Toss it into the pan, give it a good stir, and sprinkle in some salt and pepper to taste. Let it dance around the pan until it's semi-soft and bursting with flavor.
